Answers are sometimes hard to come by and when they do appear they can be elusive if too many choices are alongside.  We often ask why, and when we receive the answer, we dismiss it as too complicated or too simple.  Maybe we are more content with the question than with the answer.

What am I saying?, what am I getting at?.

In Indian Country, we run into the same situations again and again.  And it always involves a white man as the nemesis.

Historically it has always been a "corporate initiative" disguised as Manifest Destiny, Doctrine of Discovery, religious freedom, Democracy, or eminent domain.  And the American nationalist objective has always been the same. Win at any cost.

The land, the minerals, the water, the air, families, sovereignty, independence, the vote.  They have all suffered as we have suffered under a colonialist autocratic militaristic regime.

But the lie has always been that we live in the greatest country in the world.  And it's a lie that many of us poor Indians have accepted. We have stopped fighting because it is too hard.  And when we stop to ask why we are fighting we are seen as deviant, ungrateful, radical, uneducated, selfish.

The government and their allies say "why don't you just accept the fact that you lost and we won, so whatever we choose for you, you must accept.

We want your land, hand it over, we want your children, hand them over, we want your water, hand it over, and don't question why, that's just the way it is.  And if you don't like it you can go back to where you came from.

As we sit and starve on our own reservations, or what's left of them.

Civilization is a death knell.  It's a guillotine set up to destroy hope, faith, and justice.  And the dominant system, which is racist, bigoted, defamatory, and destructive, gets stronger, richer, and more aloof and it becomes the Great White Father that's never home.

And we are left with bloated bellies, diabetes, suicide, and inadequate health care.

For every victory, we achieve there are a thousand battles lost.

In North Dakota on the Standing Rock Indian Reservation, we won a temporary victory.  A victory led by Native women.  In this battle for clean and safe water, we once again experienced the great militaristic animosity of the state and federal government.

So nothing has changed. We remain at war. The United States has not changed, federal policy has not changed.

We have changed. We have stopped being constant victims of domestic violence, alcoholism, drug abuse, suicide, and constant injustice.  We have taken charge of every available resource to create a better way of life for our families.

But America still sees us as a national threat. An obstacle to their freedom and national growth.

And forces in the national legal and political system, which remains just as racist as ever, continue to attack and chip away at even the smallest sign of progress on our part.

God created us and put us here in the western hemisphere, but he is sure is taking his time in uncovering our greater purpose.

We are great believers in our prophecies.  But a good prophecy hasn't come down the pike in a long time.  All our chiefs and headmen are passing away.  Our mothers and grandmothers are moving slower.

The great black snake is in slumber.  And when he wakes again who shall stand to do battle.

TransCanada = Corporate Genocide

The Keystone XL Pipeline is the biggest lie to be perpetrated on the American People since the Declaration of Independence.  The promise of wealth for the dying middle class, jobs for the masses of unemployed, the promise of unlimited energy resources for China, the promise of unencumbered safety and security in the construction and maintenance of the oligarchs behemoth of a project.

The truth is death.  Death to the natural resources especially water, all across the United States as the oil pipeline winds its way across this great country.  It's size and length literally divides the country in two equal parts.  It's almost satanic in it's design.  As if to drive a corporate stake through the heart of America.

Many have prophesied about this event.  One of the concerns is the water.  Water is not an unlimited resource.  It does have it's limitations as is being seen in the west and the southwest.  The war for water has been kept primarily in the courts.  But it may move beyond that into a more anarchic arena if the President of the United States signs off on the construction of this resource development project.

Water is life.  If disabled, either naturally or unnaturally, the pipeline would pour untold thousands of gallons of crude oil into the water basins of America.  Right now the American Indian activist community has made an alliance with the farmers of the west and southwest as a deterrent of protest develops nationally to decimate the pipeline possibility.

And it's the water that has brought them together as one force.  The farmers and ranchers now see the destructive potential and they realize that their lives are at stake.  Everything is at stake.  Life itself, because without potable water there is no life.  And not just for the sake of man but all life.

It could be the beginning of life as we now know it or it could be the beginning of death.  Death as they see it elsewhere energy projects have gone rogue and destroyed the environment.

See and pray.

Not Living Beings, Corporate Starcasters

Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Senator explained in a recent interview that corporations are not people.  They don't have any human characteristics.  They are non-living entities.

Well at the same time there are individuals in Congress who believe that corporations are living entities.  But this is only because they are providing some sort of financial life-force to a project or series of projects that the individual has a vested interest in.  So goes the life form subtle equations.

Corporations, both national and international are draining the life force out of the planet, not just small communities here and there,  but entire metropolitan areas.

Right now there supposedly is a employment shortage that Congress has refused to address, of course, but the truth is there aren't a shortage of jobs.  Jobs are plentiful.  What there is a shortage of is workers who are apparently corporate approved.  Corporations want "their people" to fill these positions, not just any "darkie" from somewhere that they don't like.

Yes, it's a racism issue.  Of course it is.  There aren't enough white people to go around.  The people of color are out growing the old majority.  But the corporate mind cannot accept anyone other than those whom they feel they are akin to working in their plants.

It is a majority rules issue.  Most corporate admins are white.  And they want to "see" white when they tour their businesses.

This is why immigration reform will not happen for another 50 years or so, the white corporate admins don't want to have to bother with "filtering out" non-whites applying for succulent corporate jobs.  They want the jobs going to "homeboys".

Everyone who wants to work in the US could be employed right now, except for the fact that they are the wrong color.

No decent minded white corporation wants its hard earned money going to "darkies".  They propagate the old "circulate my money seven times seven in my hood before it goes anywhere else" philosophy.

White admins want white money to stay in white hands as long as possible.  And it's being done.

They don't care if immigrants pay taxes because taxes are government dollars.  And they despise government dollars.  Welfare, food stamps, unemployment, health care, you name it, according to them it's all government dollars and they don't want any of their taxes being circulated in those "darkie" programs.

Sad but true.  This is what America has become.
